In 1932 Resolution was adopted in the first Reunion Ceremony to constitute The Ex – Students’ Association of R. G. Kar Medical College (former Carmichael Medical College ) .

The Aims and Objectives of this Association :

1. To maintain the honour of the medical profession and specially to safeguard the interest and uphold the standard of the medicos from this institute.

1. To reinforce the bonds of friendship and goodwill amongst the ex – students and present students through social functions and endeavor for total development of the Alma mater .

1. To maintain and promote the tradition and standard of post-graduate education and research amongst the ex – students of this institute.

1. To preserve correct and latest detail accounts and publish intermittently the names, address, qualifications and phone number of the ex – students .

1. To arrange and hold Re-union of ex – students and present students annually jointly with the help of students’ union of the institution.

1. To arrange and hold get togethers and other festivals amongst members of the association in different places at different times.

Through annual Re-union , we express our reverence to the Founder father and other great  luminaries of our institute and exchange interpersonal goodwill’s.

In every year Re-union ceremony of ex – students and presence students has been arranged. The same day that is the death anniversary of our founder father will be commemorated and celebrated as the Founder’s day.

Hope you are informed and well aware about the different functions, meetings, orations and scientific programs conducted by the ex – students’ association.

Commemorating our Silver Jubilee and Birthday Centenary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy , since 1981 , the ex – students’ association from its own funds and from collective funds of different donars , offers about 100 medals , certificates and cash prizes to the meritorious and successful medical and nursing students of our institute. Also cash donations for poor student have been arranged. From last few years we have taken new endeavour as “ Ex – students Benevolent Fund” to help need ex – students.

We request to all ex students to donate liberally to our associations funds and thereby profile the opportunity to serve better.

Any past alumni of this institute can be a member of our ex – students association. Any ex- alumni can be a life member with one time subscription of Rs. 2000/- only.

Your active corporation and joining us personally will help our associations activities to be more successful.

The association office remains open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on all working days .
